PEF Sketchers Pier to Pier
Friendship Walk

Mark your calendars! The Peninsula Education Foundation is going to participate in the 5th annual Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk on Sunday, October 27th.

Come join us for a beautiful walk from Manhattan Beach Pier to Hermosa Beach Pier and support our schools at the same time.  Last year, PEF received a check for $105,000 for our participation! We had the most walkers of any participating school district!  Our goal this year: over 3,000 walkers and an even bigger check!

Show your Soleado pride and sign up to participate in this fun family event. The registration process is easy.

Visit www.skechersfriendshipwalk.com, click on the "Register" button, and then click on "Create A Friendship Walk Account." Fill in your personal information, join the Soleado Elementary team and remember to designate PEF as your charity of choice.  Currently we have 30+ walkers signed up for our school.  Contact Lara Hanlon, our Soleado coordinator at larahanlon@aol.com for further information.

Questions?  help@pvpef.org or 310.378.2278 Join the fun and walk for our PVPUSD schools!

We Appreciate Volunteers!

The Give With Target Facebook promotion has closed for this year and we were able to earn $149 for Soleado!  Many thanks to everyone who voted, and we hope it showed how easy fundraising can be!  The Soleado Booster Club will use Target gift cards as contest and raffle prizes and for supplies throughout our fundraising year, so every vote mattered.  Be sure to look for this promotion again next August and September and let's keep doing what we can for our school.

A very special thank you to Eva Ruiz, Noelle Whitaker and Jennifer Farrell for the fantastic SOUPER HERO staff luncheon!!  Thank you also to the parents who cooked soup, donated supplies and additional goodies to treat the teaching staff.

A big thanks to the Book Fair Volunteers who gave up their time and effort to help kids find and purchase books at our week long event from Sep. 30 to Oct. 4.  Thank you to our Book Fair coordinator Jennifer Wong for being there everyday and making sure all was running smooth.  Set up and clean up volunteers had no small feat either.  The Book Fair is a community effort that benefits everyone here at Soleado!

Thank you to the Korean Parents Asociation for donating $1,000 to our school!  Principal Stutzel gladly accepted the check from KPA president Rosa Kim at our last PTA meeting
