Soleado Families,
Just a reminder that this Friday is our annual Slide Show night, where our Soleado families gather under the stars to watch a slide show highlighting events from our 2013-2014 school year. Bring your picnic blankets and chairs and join our Soleado community to watch for your children and their friends in our show. You'll share in their memories of our classroom activities, field trips, assemblies, and other events and have fun looking for all of the people that you know!
The Slide Show will begin at dark, around 8:15 p.m. and is free to all. However, we have another tradition at Soleado, which is to have families picnic at school before the Show begins. This year, we are excited to welcome Chef Michael Shafer of the Buffalo Fire Department restaurant in Torrance, who will be grilling hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers and portabello mushroom sandwiches. Please help us support Chef Shafer, who is providing his food at cost, with proceeds to benefit our school.
Forms pre-ordering dinners are due today in the front office (and please put your name or your student's name on the form). If you can't make it into school to turn in your form, we have created a payment form online where you can use a credit card to pre-order your meals. Use this link:
If you don't pre-order, don't worry! Dinners, snacks, and drinks will be available at the event, although we cannot offer the pre-order price for dinners at that time.
What a great way to wrap up our school year! We can't wait to see you then.
