Writing Workshop for Families Learning from Every Writer in the Room Presented by Lorrie Tom
Family of Writers is a unique opportunity for students and parents to write together. During three evening meetings, Lorrie Tom guides families through writing activities that help participants discover confidence, voice, and craft while also addressing Common Core writing standards. Students who write well are more likely to become lifelong writers. Parents will also learn positive approaches for giving writing response to their children. Most importantly, parent and child share the rich legacy of family stories, experiencing writing as a creative, joyous, and insightful journey.
