Your First Opportunity To Make A Difference In Your Child's Education

As we begin the new year, we have a lot of posts with opportunities for you to become more involved. One of the most important roles is the role of room parent. Please take a look at the list below to see the classes that are in need of help. 

Last year we split the position into 3 people and you can review a description of each position below:

Communicator - 

Works closely with the teacher to organize class help, projects and parties. Communicates on a regular basis with treasurer and shopper.  Responsible for maintaining a class list of emails and sending out important PTA/Booster/Soleado related info as needed. 

*This job will vary from teacher to teacher. Some are great with communication and we may not need to send many emails*

Treasurer - 

Responsible for sending out beginning of the year letter for classroom fund donations, collecting these donations, making deposits, reimbursing expenses in a timely manner,  and maintaining a general ledger.  Ledger is to be shared with room parent communicator and shopper as needed/requested. 

*You may need to send out other communication at holidays and/or end of year*

Shopper -

Responsible for purchasing all necessary items for class projects, parties, etc. as requested by the teacher and/or communicator.  Collect and provide receipts for all  purchases and complete paperwork necessary for reimbursement for treasurer.
