Tickets are $3 each, 2 tickets for $5 or 10 tickets for $20. If you purchase tomorrow, you will be entered into our prize drawing on Saturday night. Winners will be announced on Monday.
If you can't join us Saturday evening, this is a great way to be part of the fun. Not only could you win one of these great prizes, but our Soleado Suns win as well. Hopefully, we'll see you then! (And in case of rain, we'll be just inside the front office.)

Booster Update:
Jennifer Novak, our Booster Club President informed us that donations are still down from last year (over 50% of our families have not donated). We need your help to ensure our students have all of the tools necessary to be successful this year!
The biggest booster fundraiser is coming up on February 1st at the Norris Pavilion and you should have already received your invitation to the Luau. Our committee is working hard on perfecting the decor as well as gathering auction items that will interest all of you. If you know of a local business that would be interested in donating services/gift certificates/other items, please contact Erica Mangham via email at: emangham@gmail.com. You can download the request letter by clicking here and you can even provide a receipt for the donation by clicking here (please be sure to complete the form before delivering it to the business). You may even be able to donate your time and talents, we would love to hear from you!!

This Week At Soleado
Character Counts Pillar: CITIZENSHIP!
Good citizens go beyond their own interests, demonstrate a concern for the needs of others and recognize their obligations to make their home, school, neighborhood, country and world the best they can be. Citizenship is not passive. Citizenship demands participation, involvement and contribution. No one makes a difference without being involved.
Citizenship means responsibility.
Good citizenship in practice is understanding, appreciating and doing things that make life better for yourself and for other people. Citizenship is not just doing the thing that “looks good.” It is doing the thing that will really result in helping people. The good citizen thinks of the situation and the person, and tries to do what will help most. Responsibility means that the person thinks of the results of what he or she does. Citizenship is a two-way relationship and includes both rights and duties. My rights depend on you fulfilling your responsibilities. My responsibility includes the duty to see that you are free to exercise your rights.
Good citizenship is learned.
Being a good citizen means more than knowing how the government functions. The essence of good citizenship is accepting social responsibility to others and to future generations.
